The industrial edge
Small office moves around Smithfield and Wetherill Park
The Smithfield and Wetherill Park estates are full of small offices, workshops and front rooms attached to warehouses. When one of them moves, it usually has to happen on a weekend, and Monday has to open like nothing happened. That is a job we like.
What we move
- Desks, chairs and meeting tables, broken down and rebuilt where they are going.
- Archive boxes and filing, labelled and kept in order, because the folder order matters more than the furniture.
- The kitchenette, the fridge, the whiteboards, the awkward reception counter.
- Workshop benches and shelving where two movers and a trolley are the honest answer. Full plant-and-machinery relocation is not us, and we will say so rather than wing it.
How it runs
- A walk-through first. Usually fifteen minutes on a weekday afternoon. We see the load, the dock and the destination, and agree the crew.
- Everything labelled before we lift. Desk clusters keep their people. Boxes keep their order.
- The weekend shift. Most small offices fit a Saturday. You point at the plan on the new floor, we put things where the plan says.
What it costs
The same three crew rates as every job we do, most often 3 movers and 1 truck at $350 per hour for a small office, or 4 movers and 2 trucks at $500 per hour when the whole fit-out is going at once. In writing before the day, like always.
