Removalists in Canley Heights

Canley Heights is house country: post-war fibro and brick on tidy blocks, and barely a unit block in the suburb. The furniture is bigger, the families have been in longer, and nearly every job runs down a strip driveway that was poured when cars were narrower. Good. That is our favourite kind of geometry.

How we work a narrow block

The strip driveway, the side gate and the low carport decide the plan. Here is the plan:

  1. The truck stays on the street. A loaded truck on a fifty-year-old strip driveway cracks concrete and gets stuck on the crossfall. We stand it at the kerb and carry properly instead.
  2. The path is walked and cleared first. Bins moved, the gate propped, the hose reel unhooked, the low carport beam measured by eye against the tallest piece.
  3. Big pieces travel on the trolley where the path allows, on hands where it does not. Grass and gravel eat trolley wheels; we know which stretch of your path is which before we start.
  4. Doorframes and the tight corner get padded. The house has stayed neat for fifty years. It stays neat through moving day too.

Half our Canley Heights jobs involve a granny flat. New flat out the back, a parent moving in, the good furniture going with them down that same side path. We wrote the whole day up: the granny flat move guide.

The furniture out here is the real thing

Thirty years in one house means a dining setting with leaves, a wall unit in three sections, wardrobes that were built, not flat-packed. Solid timber and marble are why we carry the blankets, the film and the straps we do, and why how we move heavy furniture is its own page. Nothing out here scares us; it just gets planned.

What a Canley Heights move usually costs

A granny flat or partial move usually fits 2 movers and 1 truck at $250 per hour. The full three-bedroom house is a 3 movers and 1 truck day at $350 per hour. One rate per crew, in writing before the day, and if the smaller crew will honestly do it, that is what we will tell you.
